Interactive Educational Experience
This interactive educational experience teaches children ages 8-12 about sea turtle life cycles and the detrimental effects mankind has had on the species over the last 100 years. It is accessible through a web site portal that takes the user to a parallax navigation experience that incorporates story telling within the parallax experience, interactions using tools and multi level game play. Children earn badges when completing interactions and game play. An adventure journal collects items automatically as children play through the experience to document their journey. Ultimately, the experience is designed to motivate children to be an advocate for the species in the real world.
The experience is COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act) compliant and controlled by class room teachers or scout troop leaders that act as mediators. The entire system is being built utilizing HTML5.
